The daughter of comedy legend Richard Pryor, Rain Pryor grew up feeling split between two cultures that had much in common but were worlds apart. Her hilarious and heart-wrenching one-woman show, directed by Eve Brandstein, reflects on her childhood growing up black and Jewish in a politically correct era.
A multifaceted actress, singer, comedian, and artistic director, Pryor’s autobiographical solo show premiered at the Jewish Women’s Theatre in Santa Monica, had a successful off-Broadway run, and is now being adapted by Norman Leer for TV.
